Just discovered this new concept - a clothes swapping website...  Instead of throwing old clothes away you can swap them online - not sure if I'd rather just take them to Mary's Living & Giving shop...

This is good to know that if i really needed to i could sell swap online but i think it kind of takes away from the experience. Also it's a little risky with charity vintage shopping, i like actually going in store and having a good old rummage, soaking up the atmosphere etc. So i think i'll be making my way to Mary's new shop to do just that. Do you know when it opens???

In my home town in Maryport,West Cumbria we have a great boutique shop which is a cafe and vintage clothes and accesories outlet.Debbie at Herciti also organises clothes swap events which are a great way to trade clothes and have a great girls night out. The Mary Portas ethos in Maryport! cheers Dolly

I've heard that clothes swapping/ 'swishing' stalls have been really popular at vintage fairs and other events such as pop-up shops, festivals and fundraisers. One gals' trash IS another ones treasure! x

Have a look at the Swap - A - Rama - Rama website, I have contact Wendy about bringing this event to the West Midlands. Any creative crafters, handmade heroes please respond to a call for skills to help an event like this get off the ground.
