I have been watching when I can Mary's Queen of shops programs  very often  styles trends, fashion crop up in each program and how the
shop owners have them wrong or hinting the wrong market, last night Mary said that Under the Moon had a lack of taste, personally I agree with that.

When Mary visites their home she turns on her style statement by wearing a hen line above her knee, red textured tight and black boot. what a great look!
Well dome marry if you do have a go at some one about there styles you got to back it up with showing your own which you did so well.

I know a lot of women who do get criticised in public for wearing styles of  clothes especially with  full vintage one becuse they been true to there own styles and standing out from other.


Marry keep up the good work with your styles and keep it coming in droves and help every one else who also stylish.

I have had more than a passing interest in women style for a long while, starting a collection of original vintage ladies wear several years ago made me think about what my own as a women would be.
Initially uncertain as to what the final outcome.

I love Mary's sense of style because it is just that .... HER own style. I loathe the slavish following of fashion that one sees on the streets every day, and love to see a person, male or female, with their own idea of what looks good on them. Mary is lucky that she has an amazing figure, although I guess that the more she looks after herself, the luckier she gets! More women like you we need, Ms Portas!

Having listened to Mary's podcast on Radio 4's Desert Island Disc I decided to tune into her programmes and watched a few of the older ones on iplayer. I have to say I think Mary is such an inspirational lady, it seems that her early years were really rather tough. I love her style and think she looks amazing! she is also such a down to earth and 'real' woman. I am truly inspired by all she does!

Hi Mary - Can you let me know whose dress it was that you wore to the Saatchi Gallery in last night's episode?? Loved it and if it was reaaally expensive where a might locate a similar buget version. Ta

There was an article today in today's Guardian about Mary's fantastic style: http://www.guardian.co.uk/tv-and-radio/gallery/2010/jul/13/mary-portas-queen-of-shops Also, in Grazia two weeks ago (issue 276), there was a two page spread on Mary's style and there was more detail on what labels Mary favoured in this series compared to the Guardian piece.
