Dear Mary,

This evenings episode at John Peers salon in Rochdale was truly awesome. You could almost feel the energy and emotion emitting from the screen. How amazing to see someone who had been in business for so long embrace fresh ideas and concepts with true vigour and enthusiasm and a realisation that hairdressing was his life.

We shed a tear when John had his light bulb moment at the fashion shoot, you could almost see the switch being turned on. We wish John, his family and all his team the very best of success as they all deserve it

If only we had more politicians like you, straight talking, no bullshit, job done, the country may be in a better situation than it currently is. Small business owners like myself feel so passionate about offering an independent service to the high street but who stands up for us? I think the government needs to look at indies and realise that they offer an individuality to towns and cities across the land and lend support when needed.

Mary congratulations to you, Peter and all your team for an amazing series, can't believe it's the last one next week.

It was indeed a great moment.

Ruby interested me too.  She was so obviously struggling with the whole process at the photoshoot and yet by the end she seemed as committed and motivated as the rest of the team.

It'd be interesting to know, Mary, how directly instrumental you were in helping her to find her way through.

I work in a co-operative and while, generally, the team pull together well in "getting the job done" from day to day, those moments where we have to make decisions about the future of the business always throw up some interesting and not always helpful dynamics.  There is a fine balance to be struck persuasion and rail-roading when pushing the company through to making a decision - especially in a business where the eleven members all have an equal voice.
