Mary’s Living & Giving Shop – supporting Save the Children

Living & Giving is the charity concept that Mary developed for Save the Children following her 2009 series Mary Queen of Charity Shops.

With the local community at its heart, Living & Giving is not just a shop, but a place to inspire, share, create, meet and discover.

Living and Giving is a philosophy, a fantastic way to contribute to the community, help some of the world’s most vulnerable children and bag a designer bargain at the same time!

Where Once I Played…’ A Primrose Hill Arts Trail by Nina Mankin

Where: Mary’s Living and Giving Shop for Save the Children -109 Regent’s Park Road, Primrose Hill, London, NW1 8UR

When: 10th – 18th September 2011

Come and be a part of a visually interactive street wide treasure trail devised by the wonderfully talented and thought-provoking artist Nina Mankin. 14 shops have been carefully selected along Regent’s Park Road to house a series of narrative sculptural installations which will provide clues, nostalgic memories and hidden messages, to assist you in filling out an intriguing questionnaire, with the chance to win 1 of 5 pieces of Nina Mankin’s art.

Each location will be themed so please come and check out the delights of our Primrose Hill shop which will be transformed into a world of tailors, dressmakers, textiles and clothing. Our shop is of significant importance to the trail, having once housed the beautiful textiles of Nina’s father Ian Mankin and one of the main reasons for Nina’s return to re-explore her childhood.

If it’s too long for you trepid explorers to wait, a map and questionnaire for the trail can be picked up in store prior to the event, or for further information and to see more of Nina’s work, please visit www.ninamankin.co.uk or contact the Primrose Hill shop on: 020 7586 9966.
