Some people need a reality check. Aldi don’t have queues to the “back of the shop” and endeavour to open new tills WHEN NEEDED. I shop in most supermarkets, and the worst for queue length and service time is asda and sainsburys in my opinion.
Some shoppers are deluded in what they deem good service. Paying over the odds, getting served at a snails pace and getting “free” bags that break with two loafs of bread in is not my idea of good service. We have saved over £100 per month by switching!
Edgbaston cricket ground store. Staff always polite, store always well stocked, and never had to wait that long to be served. All Aldi’s have the same format and products but I will travel to this one as it’s obviously well managed by a team who enjoy what they do
Portslade East Sussex.
very friendly staff. Amazing prices. Fresh vegetable.
As a Aldi employee, I too have to defend some of the bad comments being explained. Re: Till Speed We have a minimum target of 1000 products scanned per hour, as set by Senior Management not us, If we are going too quick, say so. The packaging bench is designed for people who want to get through the tills as quick as possible and for the already served customers too not feel under pressure about packaging too slowly. We dont supply baskets as it keeps costs down. Help yourself to an empty box.
Rugeley, Staffordshire.
I shop here often as it is my favourite Aldi shop in the area despite me being from Lichfield. I think it is always well stocked and extremely clean. 90% of the staff are very friendly and helpful especially the girls on the till who are always happy to explain why they move so fast! Only criticism is the very tall dark haired male,i have been in there several times and he is very rude with an attitude problem, towards his taff and customers.Other than that i love the shop
Aldi in France, the staff are excellent, very well mannered and helpful. The goods, not all cheaper than other stores but excellent quality. Most of the goods in comparison are cheaper, and the quality sometimes exceeds the other main stores. First port of call for weekly shopping.
Excellent well stocked store.Staff are very quick to respond to a hint of a queue. In and out and home before I’d even get to the queues in the larger stores ( just need to be grown up and not dither trying to pack put it back in the trolley into reusables or pack in the boot ! ).
Why don’t people understand that Aldi is NOT value for money? Eg, according to some people in my family the Aldi muesli is fantastic – er no, I wouldn’t even call a load of oats, 10 raisins & a dried banana, muesli! No idea if they still sell this but why would anyone want to wash their hair with Protane – sounds like gunk to blast the crap out of the bottom of a petrol tank! Just call it shampoo. Anything we’ve ever had from this place has just been appalling quality. Would give 0 stars if poss
Aldi Store in Bathgate, West Lothian, Scotland.
Big store, clean, staff useless.
I always feel like I’m not welcome in the store by staff giving me odd looks. Service at tills is unbelievably SLOW. There is ALWAYS only one person serving no matter how LONG the queue is, even though there are 3 other till points!! Ridiculous. I generally avoid and only go if I really have to.
