Searching for a replacement 3-piece suite.Visited the Pemberton Park Llanelli Branch.The assistant was extremely helpful.We did not feel pressurised in anyway,were given objective and informative info.We will consider the dimensions of the suite and will be highly likely to purchase product from this store.

Firstly I’d like to comment on the actual store finally we settled on the Sophie Cuddle Sofa which consisted of the Sofa & footstool/half moon part advertising at £799.00, now this to even start with is a big con see we thought the footstool was included only to get to the desk with the sales man to discover a bill at just over £1000, delivery was not 1st class, dropped sofa, missing scatter cushion and fraying cushions! Very unhappy!
Bought sofa and promised delivery 5 to 6 weeks but on form it had been changed to 6 to 7 weeks which meant that delivery would 1st week Dec. On paying today, was told by Wednesbury J9 store that delivery slots for Wed were available. Got a message left that delivery was for all day Fri 23rd but coundn’t advise am or pm and all day means 7am to 6pm and this is for £60 delivery charge. Other white glove delivery services used by some internet companies don’t even charge but give excellent service.
I had to wait 3 months for my suite to be delivered. Upon delivery I noticed a dark patch on the sofa. SCS rep called and examined the sofa and reported back to his office. SCS have now told me that as far as they are concerned there is nothing wrong with my sofa. I have tried telephoning but I just keep getting fobbed off and have been told to complain to them in writing (which I had already done). Please do not spend your hard earned cash at SCS!
The delivery guys on 5/12/11 were neither profesional nor experienced,marked a complete wall, ruined ballusters skirting board dented door frame even took the door off purely cuz they were lazy and not lifting it. Huddersfield store manager said get an upholsterer to do it apart take it in the room and refix it, it will be £140. the sofa had to be left in the garage. NEXT DAY WE TOOK THE SOFA UP OURSELVES IN 10 MINS WITHOUT EVEN TOUCHING THE WALLS AND THERE WAS NO NEED FOR THE DOOR TO COME OFF!

Purchased corner suite on 13/08/2011.
Do not buy from these people! Gave us the wrong information and will not fit into our room. The sales person who ordered it denies all knowledge of what he said!The manager is just as bad, claiming that this sales person wouldn’t have given us the wrong info!! He wasn’t even there that day so how would he know what he told us!! Told us the 4 yrs interest free finished that day but in actual fact it was the next day
Looking for a new Sofa,went to SCS In Blackburn.
26th and 27th Oct 2011.when we first arrived we asked for some help,which was given,but did feel rather pressured later on in the store.We left as we were just there to compare sofas and see what we would like.We went back the next day for another look, and immediately a different sales person was at us,I just wanted to get a feel of the sofas,but he sat with us and when we moved he came aswell.Totally off putting.
purchased Lazyboy leather suit £2700 from scs southampton, only had it just over 6 mnths head rest on chair started peeling, told by thier inspector that it was because we were old and medication can cause this , eventually after letters to thier managing director they agreed to a new back . Now the leather is peeling on the settee,side of chair scs will do nothing. we were missold the extended warranty this is still on going pulling my hair out
Bought a new sofa in Jan of this year took me many phone calls and complaints to the shop at Birstall and head office before finally getting a delivery date 5 months after ordering. They claimed a shortage of brown leather! Dealt with the manager a couple of times on the phone and he was just plain rude!
I bought an expensive suite from SCS in Portrack Stockton on Tees. Very soon after it was delivered I had cause for complaint & wrote to the head office in Sunderland. They wrote back saying they would consider my complaint then I never heard from them again.
Norwich, pushy pushy staff. Hated every minute of being in there, have added review for where I bought and thought this deserved a mention!
Kempton Interchange – Bedford. One word – Terrible! Went in there to look at sofas, well planned to anyway! For the duration of our visit @10 mins, we were followed everywhere by some chap who wouldn’t leave us alone. It felt like we had a parrot on our shoulder. It was incredibly annoying and felt like we were being stalked. Please let customers look through your collection, rather than being harrassed and stalked. Instead, we went to DFS as we never did get round the whole store!
The sales staff were like Leeches! One came up to me & my partner & said “just give us a nod if there’s out you are interested in & I’ll see what I can do!”. He then walked off. This put me at ease………for 5 minutes!! He then appeared EVERYWHERE we went!!!!! He was virtually in my back pocket counting my readies or swiping my cards! This was @ Stockton-on-Tees branch in Cleveland. They also o/chrgd us £120 (now sorted!).
Huddersfield. SA lied saying that we had to pay in full before sofas could be put into production. Ordered sofas, but was delivered the wrong colour. Store admitted admin error on their part and offered to order a replacement, which would have taken another 8-10 weeks, which was too long so asked for a refund. Store manager refused claiming we had “accepted” the goods. Very angry at being forced into taking a replacement when law says I was entitled to a refund.
Visited Edinburgh. Found the service great and the staff really helpful. Not pushy at all.
excellent service from Caroline very helpful and made sure my mum selected the right sofa. whilst it was only a small sale even Chris the branch manager had a smile & friendly word for my mum it really made her day we will be back & i would really recommend Edinburgh fort kinnaird for anyone who needs a sofa great atmosphere in store
Went shopping with mu mum to get a new sofa, staff were really great with her. She found one she wanted and said the sales guy had made her feel special

Poor customer service, the staff always follow you around when you do not want them too, they try and pressure you into buying.
Middlesbrough store- very dissapointed with the service was fed lots of lies to get the sale then they didnt want to know after the sale. Wont be spending our pennies there again
The sales assistants always follow you around the store trying to sell you stuff, you do not want!! Poor customer service too.

Poor customer service took 1 1/2 year to get a replacement suite that cost £3500, when the suite was deemed faulty from under 3months. Endless phone calls to them and false promises and attempted measures to fix the suite. With persistants and logging all phone calls eventually resulted in a new suite. Will never purchase a suite from them again
Southampton WQ Jan 11. After seeing Marys show i was nervous when we went to buy our sofa! We already knew exactly what sofa we wanted, we were welcomed but not pounced on, the SA accepted our choice& didn’t try to persuade us to anything more expensive or to buy more. It was straight forward and quick, SA was polite and friendly. Woman who took our payment was NOT friendly, i don’t expect all smiles but she was very glum. Just hoping the delivery is on time, straight forward and quality is good
Bought a suite for over £1800 which is not fit for purpose. SCS laughed at us when complaining and will do nothing!

SCS do commit fraud they told a friend of mine that in order to buy a sofa she needed a gurantor, knowing she couldnt get credit as she had already told them. In fact their finance company creation CS do not allow gurantors. I signed a gurantor form but somehow I was made the account holder and hounded for money for months by creation. SCS did not want to know until I got the ombudsman involved. The ombudsman is also investigating creation for allowing mis selling of its product SCS LIE avoid

I was driven to the opposition by Shaun the salesman, who was so disrespectful to the other stores I said I was going to visit. He gave me a card with his name on and thought so much of himself, that after being so rude about others I and my family would buy from him! Made the opposition appear wonderful.
Shopped at ScS for years, always found thier staff were great. Will be going back when I’m next looking for a sofa, never had a problem with them.
Poor customer service and constant hassling of “Can I help?” and such like. Not good, also were not that polite when we finally managed to make a decision after being pestered all round the shop. Would advise against the shop in question, Edinburgh Kinnaird.
ScS Sunderland. Staff acknowledged we were there and told us where they were if we needed help, but weren’t pushy in the slightest. Good, appropriate advice when needed and left us alone to browse rather than ‘hawked’. No hard sell at all. Only concern was when they offered damage cover for £80 which we turned down as being too expensive, then when we went to the cash office, they offered it for £40 which smacked of opportunism. Otherwise thumbs up!
Visited Portrack Lane, thought that the store was great and the staff really helpful. Yes they did push for the sale but was really happy with what I bought

Bought leather corner sofa from Leeds Birstall, sofa arrived damaged with a total of 5 faults. Head office have contacted me and are wanting to repair 2 of the 5 faults only. Furthermore the sales rep stated at point of sale that SCS only use fully dyed leather on their furniture this seems not to be the case as i have 1 half of the sofa fully dyed and the other half is not. The aftersales service is shocking once they have your money SCS dont want to know!
Bought my corner unit sofa from scs in December with the guaranteed before Xmas delivery offer. Found the salesmen very eager for a sale but were very helpful. Delivery on time and comfy!
Visited thier StaplesCorner store looking for something suitable for a small flat with difficult access they were great, really helpful and found me something that was perfect.
Poor service went into the the leicester fosse park store to purchase a new corner sofa suite, the salesman was too interested in selling me a suite i did not want, surprisingly the sofa he wanted to sell me was cheaper than the one i wanted, but the reality was I DID NOT WANT THE SOFA HE WAS SELLING ME! He told me a million reasons why I shouldn’t buy the Lazy boy suite I seen eventually I walked out when the price he quoted all of a sudden dropped by £1200 I was not interested!
My Mam ordered a £2,500 suite in August she was gauranteed by Darlington ScS no 1 salesman of the year Graham she would have it in 10 weeks and that the suite would fit through a standard door.We agreed to the sale , he was told of mams terminal illness and it was her last wish to have this new suite .13 weeks and no suite later, Graham said he never said 10 weeks. Purchased my sofa 3 years ago now, just prior to Christmas. Pressure selling to the point that I walked out just to make sense of it all and then promised Pre-Christmas delivery for it to not turn up until March. I love the sofa but absolutely hated the customer service, if i’d have found a sofa I preferred elsewhere then I wouldn’t have bought from SCS!!!

Went with my mum to choose a new sofa for her. she is on a pension so has to be careful with money…. Salesman followed us around would not leave us alone to simply browse for a while he was constantly there, pushy. In the end we left and went back a week later.
Older salesman, again followed us round would not leave us alone. When we refused to buy there and then he actually said if he thought we were time wasting he was within his rights to ask us to leave!!!!!!!!!!
Pressured sales, Staff follow and watch, will not leave customer alone.
corner unit bought in November from Fosse park store in Leicestershire. I had a good salesman and very pleasent and helpful. What I cannot justify is having to pay £50.00 for delivery and they have you over a barrel. Its disgusting.
